OZ Biosciences is a product development company that creates, develops and commercializes delivery systems of bioactive materials (DNA, siRNA, proteins, antibodies...), intended for the worldwide scientific community and pharmaceutical industries. We can synthesize custom mRNAs (from gene synthesis to IVT production) at microgram to multigram scales, from a few hundred up to several thousand bases, with diverse modifications including 5’ terminal modifications with cap, internal modifications such as 5-methoxyuridine or N1-methyl-pseudouridine (other modified nucleotides available) and 3’ modifications such as poly-A tail. Fluorescent labeling with Cy5 and others are also available.
We offered also a Microfluidics Platform for the reproducible manufacturing of safe & potent lipid nanoparticles (LNPs). We can support every stage of LNP formulation needs, from design to production. Suitable for any RNA, DNA or APIs, you can provide us with your molecule of interest and we will formulate it into LNPs composed by our unique patented ionizable lipids (licensing available).
NeuroMag Transfection Reagent is the first dedicated Magnetofection™ transfection reagent for neurons from 1 DIV to 21 DIV. It has proven to be extremely efficient in transfecting a large variety of primary neurons such as cortical, hippocampal, dorsal root ganglion and motor neurons with all types of nucleic acids. Moreover, high transfection efficiency was also achieved in primary astrocytes, oligodendrocyte precursors or neural stem cells as well as other cell lines (C6, B65, PC12, N2A...). Due to its unique properties, NeuroMag allows following transfected neurons during several days.

The properties of this reagent allow simultaneously neutralizing electrostatic repulsions between membrane and viral particles and enhancing viral fusion with cell membrane. Due to a favorable “membrane permeable effect” limiting the transmembrane potential changes, LentiBlast Premium is non-toxic and totally compatible with cell viability.

HYVIR™ Transfection Reagent
HYVIR™, is a novel lipid-based transfection kit dedicated to enhance viral particles production in HEK-293T.
Its specific formulation allows an optimal plasmid compaction, protection and delivery rendering HYVIR ideal for the production of last generation of lentivirus.
3rd generation system while improving the safety of the 2nd generation by splitting the packaging system into two plasmids also increases the difficulty for delivery: now 4 plasmids need to be transfected at the same time under a precise stoichiometry.

OZ Biosciences offers mRNAs that mimic fully processed mature mRNAs. They are modified with 5-methoxyuridine (5moU replaces U) or N1-methyl-pseudouridine (N1-mψ) to reduce innate immune responses. We also offer unmodified mRNAs.

The RNA therapeutics have the potential to revolutionize medicinal fields as they are safe, easy to reproduce (e.g. IVT) and offer a great deal of versatility.
Naked mRNA therapeutics are generally unstable. They require high doses and show low permeability to cell membranes. Drug delivery systems are necessary to deliver mRNA for in vitro, pre-clinical and clinical applications. For this purpose, OZ Biosciences provides portfolio & custom lipid nanoparticles (LNP) delivery systems.
To date, formulation in LNP represents the most advanced non-viral delivery platform for nucleic acid therapy and promising candidates to treat manifold diseases.
